If you’re looking to buy a car in Fresno, you’re in luck. There are many different dealerships and car lots in and around the Fresno area.
If you’re looking to buy a new car you have two choices.
Be prepared to go to more than one dealership before getting the best price. Also be prepared to walk out if the offer isn’t what you’re looking for. When shopping for a car the only power you have is your ability to walk out. Dealerships pay thousands of dollars in advertising to get you there, they don’t want you to leave.
2. Go to a car/auto broker.
Most of the time you’ll pay more money when you go to a broker because that broker is actually buying your car from a car dealership. The broker usually has a special deal and price worked out with the car dealership and now you only have to haggle with the broker. Since you’re still having to work out a price, you’re better off shopping for your new car in Fresno directly with the dealer.
There you have it. If you’re wanting to buy a new car in Fresno, go directly to the dealer. Most dealerships are on Blackstone Ave. or on Herndon at Palm.

1I really like going to a broker, because they give you prices up front.
Also brokers can get you a great deal because they know when a car has been sitting on the lot a while, and when the dealership will sell it for less.
So the broker takes a $300 commission, the dealer give a $500 discount and I still save $200.

2Good point Adam, I think it depends on your level of car buying experience as well. I’ve worked in that industry for about 5 years so I’m comfortable working with the dealership directly.

3Great! I always want to move where I have the “experience” before I arrive! This is the kind of helpful info I love to find when planning a move. Thanks so much!

5I am not from Fresno but I agree with you that if you dealer shop you may do better depending on the dealers sales month to date. Some dealers having a bad month will do anything to make a few more sales before months end!
