A few years ago when poker (especially no limit texas holdem) started getting really popular, a friend bought a custom poker table. He bought it from a local poker store in Fresno, California and from then on I was hooked. Like everyone who has played poker, I was used to playing on my tabletop with a cloth over the top so we wouldn’t scratch the wood when someones chips crashed down, or when I was pulling all of my winnings in!
When my friend bought his custom poker table for his house, it was amazing. It was a 10 seat oval shaped table that looked like it came right off the Las Vegas strip. Now that he has had the table for a few years (about 3 years total), it is starting to show a little wear, but not much considering it gets used 4-5 times a month for 3-4 hours at a time. The table has cup holders and a dealer seat. We don’t usually have a dedicated dealer so we usually just leave that spot open.
While the custom poker table for at home play hasn’t made my friend a better poker player it definitely brings all the guys to his house whenever we want to play. No more playing at my house!
