While I would have loved to make it to the Five Star Classic in Las Vegas, I wasn’t able to go this year. I did find a good (but short) writeup by David Aydt on the Keep Your Poker Face blog. David Aydt had the chance to see some of the Las Vegas celebrities Sammy Farha, Doyle Brunson, Erick Lindgren, and JC Tran.  Normally I only get to see these celebs on TV.

I really liked the way David put it when talking about the temptation that comes with trying to find a poker room (they’re always in the back of the casinos, “Free live poker theater all for the price of avoiding the siren calls of the penny slots or playing a little above your bankroll in the poker room.“
